Layering Is Not Only For Winter!

Layering is not only for winter! Layering your waistcoat over a summer ensemble can look as good as heavy layering during winter time!! Since I always feel layering can instantly make anyone look put together I thought of wearing my white crochet shrug over my yellow pleated & asymmetric  nature print dress which shouts summer is (unofficially) finally here!
While dressing up I believe in being comfortable and to be fashion forward. But one can only be fashionista by putting together an outfit that requires thinking out of the box. I love the idea of wearing dress over pants even though many are opposed to this layering technique. Here, I opted for leather leggings instead of pants. What do you think of this outfit pairing?
Sometimes your accessories can speak what you are feeling and it also means how you are portraying yourself to the world. I wanted my outfit to have a vintage feeling to it. I was clearly in the mood for 70s. Fringe earrings, polka dot bag and loafers resembles the 70s and therefore completes my outfit! What do you think?
Loafers look great with asymmetric dresses like this. Wear your low-high summer dresses with loafers this summer.
Mixing print on print is not new. But mixing a printed dress with printed accessory is way too much fun!
The man bun is the hairstyle of the year, 2016 and definitely looks great with anything and everything! Read this post HERE by none other than Leandra Medine of ManRepeller.
.
An unexpected element and a personal touch is a must while dressing. No matter what trend you are wearing today, a lit bit of personal style could elevate how you look! Don't you agree? To make my outfit look eclectic and statement making I opted for layered bracelet and knuckle ring from thrift store of Singapore.

How To Wear: Bright Printed Pants

Printed pants are sartorial obsession for all fashionistas who knows that it takes a little bit of effort to look  ....."effortless" yet stylish. Well I must say I am extremely lucky to find this beautiful H&M artistic bright pants in a thrift store of India and cannot believe it is less than 3 dollars!!! And I am thankful that my parents literally forced me to take a trip to India with them.

I love the artistic print, the electric pink color, the shape, the style and the polyester material. It is not always that you get great pair of comfortable pants which is trendy yet extremely cheap. So, here is how I wore it, check out all the pictures and my fashion tips to wear  bright printed pants.

Fashion Tip: Match your earrings with your pants! It is fun when the colour of your pant matches your accessories. It's your face that needs to be noticed more than your clothes so wearing something equally eye catching would draw some attention away from your statement pants.

Fashion Tip: Polka dot accessories are fun way to freshen your outfit. Here, I opted for black and white polka dot bag that looks fabulous with my art inspirred pants.

Fashion Tip: Boxy tops looks great with your straight pants. If you are not sure what to wear with your pants that is stretchable and clinks at the top and flares out at the bottom then opt for boxy shirt. This would automatically balance your look and make you look proportional giving you a shape.

Fashion Tip: Do not underestimate the power of pastel shoes! Pastel shoes looks great with anything and everything from your most boring outfit to statement making outfits. It is something that should be treated like your go to black pumps!

Fashion Tip:Go for unexpected colour combos, prints and patterns in an outfit.

Fashion Tip: Small details and unique accessories can make or break your outfit!!! Just imagine wearing an outfit without any accessories. It looks dull, boring and feels something is missing... Accessories are core element of your outfit. I opted for a statement earrings, brown pendant, bow bracelet and knuckle rings which I think together makes this outfit a hit! What do you think?

How To Wear Plunging Top Without Looking Inappropriate!

Plunging tops are way too hard to pull off. It requires a lot of courage and confidence to wear plunging top. There were lots of plunging necklines spotted on the runway and I know that many of us are looking forward to accepting and embracing this trend. I know many of you are thinking that this particular trend is solely for the models and bloggers with great body and confidence. But trust me, It's just requires a lit bit of sartorial knowledge and good dose of confidence to master this plunging neckline trend! Trust me on this....So here is what I have chosen to make this particular plunging top look spectacular.
Who says you cannot wear sequence during day time? So if you were to put on this particular plunging top how would you style it during day time ? How would you wear it if you were to hangout with your female friends? It's easy you have to look for sober yet stylish options like this beige maxi skirt! Earlier I have mentioned that you need sartorial knowledge to look great in plunging neckline top. So look appropriate in this trend go for layering piece! Don't go for something that would totally cover your plunging top. You might go for something that would give a peek into that beautiful sequence top. A sleeveless waistcoat could do that for you. So what colours should you look for when your plunging top has lots of colours and has sequence? Go for light colours and make sure that your waist coat has clean and straight shape. You don't want lots of frills and ruffles when you have so much drama going on underneath your waistcoat! Wear this with beautiful dangling pearl earrings. As for shoes animal print would look great since your skirt and waistcoat are sober and simple. Finish the look with a statement bag! I choose this brown clutch in clean stripes which is the hottest trend for SS16.

Fashion Lessons From: Olivia Palermo

It's no doubt that Olivia Palermo has great style! She is one of a kind who loves to mix latest trend with basics and at the same time making a statement with feminine and menswear inspired fashion. Therefore she is a trendsetter who is always the first to set a trend and at the same time never leaving her very own personal style
Check out the photos to learn the lessons and tips from the ultimate style queen. Shop all the similar looks here.

The lesson: Black and white doesn't need to be boring. You can rock this trend forever and ever if you master the art of having a great accessory in your outfit. Your eye is immediately drawn to her black bag with small satchel and feather texture and then to her ankle boots and her bow tie! See how the trick she plays with her accessory making her already polished outfit more better and stylish.

The Lesson:  Being feminine is the key to make any look fashion forward. The mini ruffle skirt draws attention. This simple sweatshirt would have looked boring and ordinary if she paired it with something equally simple. The other thing that is noticeable in her outfit is her colourblocking shoe that elongates her leg.

The lesson: It is absolutely okay to wear shorter hemline under your coat. If you are not sure about this look take lessons from the style savior herself and wear a statement cardigan and tights to make the outfit look put together.

The Lesson: Basic knit is a wardrobe necessity. Either you think this fabric makes you look bulky or you think it's so not your thing,a basic white or black knit would never go out of style.

The tip: knit topleather shorts +pastel shoe +beach tote..........=interesting??

The Lesson: A lot of statement pieces ....is actually a statement!!! A trendsetter like her could only follow her footsteps. A lot of things to notice in this outfit....A statement shirt dress that has whimsical stripe, stunning looking layered necklaces, a statement beach tote, suede heels...an outfit to die for...

The tip: shirt dress + layered necklaces + suede heelsshades

The lesson: A great fabric, silhouette and pattern should always be considered when looking elegent. Without these three things every outfit seems lifeless.

The lesson: A fashion faux "fur" .....yes! Whether it's fur vest, jacketcoat or even a dress welcome this trend as it's the way of becoming a coveted fashionista......

The tip: light wash jeans + furpump big bags

The Lesson: Master the art of layering. Layering has always been a style challenge and to help us out we have Olivia Palermo to show us how it is done. Wear your sweater and jacket together for a more polished look. Brighten the outfit with statement making platform heels and pop of colour like this orange bag.

The tip: Navy Blazer+ Animal print sweaterplatform heels

The Lesson: A great Jacket and a shoe is great combination to make a basic attire look like million bucks. Look at how the colour blocking shoe invites attention and how that white jacket with leather sleeves metaphorically says "look at me".

The lesson: A statement pant is the IT thing you must invest in.

The tip: Paisley pant+ matching top and jacket

The Lesson: Buy a great coat! It's the most common lesson given by the style experts and fashion critics. If you don't have one go right away to buy a beautiful coat that has good silhouette, shape and style.

The lesson: Finally Laid back style is always preferable than any other style. So it's all about being comfortable yet managing to look fashion forward. The trick is to choose clothes that are comfortable and has great colour and shape.

The tip: Distressed jeanscamisoleblazer+ up do+flats

How To Wear "The Spanish Influenced" Trend of SS2016 In An Unique Way

There were lot of trends that attracted me from Spring Summer 2016. From 70s inspired to Spanish influence to the comeback of 90s every trend of SS16 were a huge hit among the fashion bloggers, experts and real women. I am excited to experiment with all of them. Particularly Spanish influences trends are what I am excited about because overdoing these trends could ruin your look. On the other hand if you play it safe you would just simply blend with the crowd. And that's what all the Fashionholics' do not want. We love to stand out from the crowd! This Spanish Influenced trend can be divided in to different categories.

So here are some fabulous Spanish Influenced Trend that were spotted on the runway and check out all the fashion tips below. Shop all the looks here!

Off The Shoulders & Cold Shoulder: As seen in Proenza Schouler this trend is huge come back and everyone from bloggers to street style experts to fashion editors have mastered this look. In that case what you should do stand out from the crowd?
Get The Look: If You Love off the shoulder and make it look different every time you wear then you must read this. I know everyone is literally all over this trend and you want to make it look uniquely "you"! In That case go for off the shoulder top and culottes which has similar patterns on them. Here I have choose clean stripes. Go for floral accessories to brighten your outfit.

Ruffles All Over: As seen in Proenza Schouler this trend is hard to pull off because you dont want to end up looking like you came out of circus. In that case read the "Get The Look".
Get The Look: For those  of you who love ruffles and prints and are looking forward to wear them at the same time this dress could freshen up your look. Go for printed dress that has ruffles and opt ruffle bag and shoe as well. Make sure your outfit has interesting color combos. Here I have chosen pink dress with red shoe. These clashing colors surprisingly looks effortless and stylish. If your outfit has lots of ruffles and tiers on it pick a bag that has less ruffle details because you do not want to risk looking overdressed and creating a fashion disaster. Finish the look with fringe earrings and curved bracelet.
Fashion Tip: Ruffles Accessories + Clashing Colours

Cape: Oscar De La Ranta brought the Spanish heritage on Runway of SS2016 in the form of laces, ruffles and capes. Checkout how to wear capes below.
Get The Look: Going slouchy and looking stylish could be a hard task. Here I opted for floral details cape and lace flare pant to make the particular outfit below look romantic. Since the outfit has similar  sober colours and patterns, I added colourful accessories. Ballet flats are back this 2016 and nothing looks chic than a floral printed ballet. Finish the look with envelope clutch and statement earrings.

Feminine Ruffle Dress: These look were seen in Alexander Macqueen, Proenza Schouler, Oscar De La Ranta. What I love about this dress is that it looks very much from the 18th century and still can be worn in the modern times!
Get The Look: A dress can look girly without having floral print on it. Opt for Grecian inspired long ruffle dresses or ruffle dresses with one shoulder. Since you have bare neck pretty pastel necklaces are must. Opt for SS16's hottest trend: mules! Finish the look with tote bag and floral bejeweled band.

Longer and Larger Sleeves: These year is all about experimenting with sleeves and for SS16 it was all about larger sleeves.
Get The Look: Bell sleeves looks even better when worn with flare pants. These unexpected pairing can look a total fashion disaster if you don't follow this simple trick. Play with your shoes and bag by opting for matching shoes and bag in prints. Finish the look with dangling earrings.

3D Petals: Petals are in! Even though floral prints are still going strong, petal print has been tried and showed off by many celebs and bloggers.
Get The Look: Go head to toe "monochromatic petal" by opting for petal top and petal skirt. Toughen up your romantic look by opting for edgy and dark accessories! How about chokers and fringes?
Fashion Tip: Petals + Edgy Accessories
