A New Way To Wear A Shirtdress

I know sometimes I go crazy when it comes to mixing prints! But sometimes I don't focus on prints! Sometimes I am in the mood of mixing different combination of wardrobe staples that have different length and would look unusually fashion forward when worn together!

I also love the idea of wearing a dresses over pants! But there is a right way to do it! No, I am not showing you how to wear dress over pants here (that is reserved for another day ) but I am showing how shirtdress should be worn over your outfit, in my case a cute top and a peplum skirt!

Finding a new way to jazz up your peplum skirt while going out with your girls? Throw on a Shirtdress over your blouse. Tuck the blouse in your peplum skirt and keep your shirtdress unbutton to show your  perfect outfit.

Go for sleeveless shirtdress over your half sleeve printed top to show the fun print of your blouse.

A great way to wear short skirts is to pair them with flats not heels. It gives you a laid back yet sexy look

Go for shorter layering pieces. Go for uneven lengths to style your outfit. I opted for shorter shirt dress over a slightly longer peplum skirt.

Go for no or fewer accessories when your outfit has busier prints. I went for one metallic bracelet and I was good to go.

I finished  my look with soft metallic Versace bag and cover girl lipgloss.

Update Your Look With Unique Accessories

Hey Fashion Lovers! How do you sizzle up your date night outfit or girls night out outfit ? Is it Your  perfect little black dress? Statement shoe? A date night outfit is incomplete without perfect accessories and lots of confidence. What makes an outfit stand out is the way you accessorize it. Here is what I wore in a semi formal music event. Instead of picking my outfit first for the event I started building my outfit around my knuckle ring.

Check out my latest style tips and tricks to build an outfit around your most unique accessories.

I wanted my accessories to stand out and nothing makes your outfit stand out than pairing it with another unique accessories. So, I paired my H&M knuckle ring with my Guess charm bracelet.

As for the outfit I wore a dress underneath a skirt. So, if your summer short dress is sitting idly in the back of your closet give it a new look by tucking it under a long maxi skirt!

For any event I look for details in an outfit that is surely a conversation starter. Plunging necklines and a knot in the skirt are definitely worth noticing. What kind of detail you guys look for???

I mixed the print of my dress with this cute, very much attention grabbing polka dots and floral bag from Aldo.

Just like the rest of your outfit your feet also needs some unique touch. I know it's neither an ankle boot nor it's a pump shoe. It's somewhere in between. This particular shoe has unique box heels giving my look more of 80s vibe.

Black and electric pink are always in and makes your outfit both feminine and edgy at the same time. What's your favourite colour combo?

Pony tail is also the best way to keep it simple when it comes to hairstyle. A sleek ponytail is fuss free and classic.

What's your idea on updating your date night or girls night out outfit? Let me know in the comments below.

What I learned From Being Cute And Feminine

Well, it is outside my comfort zone to try something that has minimal or less prints! I wanted to try something that is fun and breezy and something that has solid colours! I took a little break from my usual style and went for something that was not menswear inspired or has no edginess or has no experimentation, or something that is not statement making and nor even eccentric....in short I went for something that "does not describe me"!

I went for something feminine and sweared by to stick to solid colour! I bought this dress a long time ago but it to my horror it didn't fit me!!! Waited for a year and half and one day tada.....it fits me and surprisingly I find it "suitable" for me! i found it suitable not because it fits me but because I love the colour: blush! I also love the embroidery on the body and obviously "loooooved" the  drop waist style which I dreaded before because I had the misconception that it makes people look larger than they are! On the contrary it makes you look feminine and cute!!!

As it was windy outside I choosed a long sleeve toasted almond colour shrug which looks great with the colour of my dress! Trust me on this I am saying toasted not because I love Avocado Toast but because this particular colour is called toasted almond! Sounds crazy? right? The colour is refreshing and looks perfect with the blush dress! They are truly "made for each other"!

The animal print leather and fur loafer adds a perfect edgyness to my feminine outfit. I did not wanted to let go off my personal style completely and thought I should add a bit of edgyness to my look!

Since I strongly believe that an outfit could look great only when you add your personal touch to it! I thought I should opt for something that describes me! I went for my statement making necklace! Since my outfit had lots of light and feminine colours I opted for something bright!!!I wore a cobalt statement necklace to finish off this fun and breezy summer outfit.

However I wanted my outfit to look put together and it would only look put together if a belt is clinched on the waist! I added a baby pink wide belt!

So here is my tip,  the colour combo to try this summer :Blush pink + Toasted Almond + Cobalt +  Baby Pink

So, what I learned is this:

  1. It is okay to wear something that you have never tried
  2. You should wear solids
  3. Blush pink looks great on anyone
  4. Loafers are great
  5. When in doubt add a little bit of personal style
  6. You should take toasted almond colour seriously!!!!
  7. Trying something out of comfort zone is called "experimentation"
  8. Go for statement making accessories when you are unsure about your outfit
  9. Add a belt to define your waist
  10. That You have read till this

Check out the photos and let me know what you think about this summer outfit!
