What I learned From Being Cute And Feminine

Well, it is outside my comfort zone to try something that has minimal or less prints! I wanted to try something that is fun and breezy and something that has solid colours! I took a little break from my usual style and went for something that was not menswear inspired or has no edginess or has no experimentation, or something that is not statement making and nor even eccentric....in short I went for something that "does not describe me"!

I went for something feminine and sweared by to stick to solid colour! I bought this dress a long time ago but it to my horror it didn't fit me!!! Waited for a year and half and one day tada.....it fits me and surprisingly I find it "suitable" for me! i found it suitable not because it fits me but because I love the colour: blush! I also love the embroidery on the body and obviously "loooooved" the  drop waist style which I dreaded before because I had the misconception that it makes people look larger than they are! On the contrary it makes you look feminine and cute!!!

As it was windy outside I choosed a long sleeve toasted almond colour shrug which looks great with the colour of my dress! Trust me on this I am saying toasted not because I love Avocado Toast but because this particular colour is called toasted almond! Sounds crazy? right? The colour is refreshing and looks perfect with the blush dress! They are truly "made for each other"!

The animal print leather and fur loafer adds a perfect edgyness to my feminine outfit. I did not wanted to let go off my personal style completely and thought I should add a bit of edgyness to my look!

Since I strongly believe that an outfit could look great only when you add your personal touch to it! I thought I should opt for something that describes me! I went for my statement making necklace! Since my outfit had lots of light and feminine colours I opted for something bright!!!I wore a cobalt statement necklace to finish off this fun and breezy summer outfit.

However I wanted my outfit to look put together and it would only look put together if a belt is clinched on the waist! I added a baby pink wide belt!

So here is my tip,  the colour combo to try this summer :Blush pink + Toasted Almond + Cobalt +  Baby Pink

So, what I learned is this:

  1. It is okay to wear something that you have never tried
  2. You should wear solids
  3. Blush pink looks great on anyone
  4. Loafers are great
  5. When in doubt add a little bit of personal style
  6. You should take toasted almond colour seriously!!!!
  7. Trying something out of comfort zone is called "experimentation"
  8. Go for statement making accessories when you are unsure about your outfit
  9. Add a belt to define your waist
  10. That You have read till this

Check out the photos and let me know what you think about this summer outfit!

Colour Combo: Peach + White + Red + Brown

Hello, Fashion lovers! Summer is officially here and I am more excited than ever because this year I got more of spring weather than sunny and warm weather. So, this pictures were taken last week before the start of warm, hot and humid season.

Check out the pictures and let me know what you think about today's fashion tips.

Summer is all about vibrant colours, white and pastels and with that in mind I came up with a new colour combo to follow this summer: peach+red+white+brown
I added a fall colour, brown as well to my perfect summer colour combination look to experiment.

I wanted to make my look feminine and modern and therefore I made sure there are cute elements to my outfit: tiered top and bow shoe lace.

To protect myself from wind I wore my brown cardigan keeping the front open. I went for something dark at the top for a slimming effect.

As for accessories I went for something glitzy to match the buttons of my cardigan.

Let me know what you like and dislike about today's post, hoping to hear from you soon.

How To Wear: Blazer Style Top

Hey There!

I have this vintage  blazer style top which I purchased a long time back from Singapore but didn't know how to style it. Since 70's style are back for this spring and I thought of giving my favourite grey flare pant a new refreshing style with these amazing top which does so much wonder in an instant. The navy blue blazer style top is a bit old fashioned but I think it's pretty much workable with these pant and antique bracelet.

Read on to know more:

1. Turning ugly in to pretty: " I think there is beauty in everything. What normal people would perceive as ugly, I can usually see something of beauty in it." That's what Alexander Mcqueen said. And he is absolutely right about it. Just experiment with something that you know is longer in vogue or looks dated, you might find that it absolutely blends in and looks stylish with your dress pant, skinny jeans, midi skirts or even flare pants. I think many people would absolutely avoid half sleeve blazer or this cut, so give something like this a try with your skinny jeans or skinny pants if you want to play it safe. But for all the daring ones out there try it with different stuff like harem pants, joggers, flare pant, mini skirt or even midi. I went for 70s flare pant as its the spring season's most IT item.

2.  Double up: double up your accessories. Trying layering 2 bracelets or 2 small cuffs in same colour, same sizes or same patterns.

3.  Unique details in unexpected places: it could be a fur over your shoulder, peekaboo near your waist or flowers over your knee....going for unique details in unexpected places gives the whole look a new and unique or even futuristic style. For example this blazer has applique at the two ends of each side.

4. Feminine touch to menswear inspired: Menswear is in! It never gets boring no matter how many times you have tried. A little bit of feminine accessories like this cute little beautiful earrings are a touch of  prettyness and sophistication to my menswear inspired look of blazer style top and flare pants.

5. Navy and red: A very common fashion tip almost followed by all fashionistas out there! But this is one of my favourite and I think it would stay everyone's favourite forever. So try something like a red dress with navy shoe or navy blazer with red shoe or even red skirt with navy bag.

6. Clothes that has jewelleries: I think every one of us have items that have clothes that have attached jewelleries. If you have strands of pearl hanging over your turtle neck top just try it on in with your maxi skirt or even culottes and long dangling earrings and cocktail rings. Jewelleries attached to your clothes are pretty interesting to stylise cause it gives you kind of a challenge to mix and match it with other accessories. In this case this blue pendent were attached to my half sleeve blazer styled top and I think it looks great.

I would absolutely love to hear what you think of today's outfit.
