Jessica Alba has her very own personal style which is a mismatch of feminine, bohemian, classic and laid back. She is usually seen in feminine mid length printed skirt, crop top, sunglasses, large bags and fedora hats and therefore has a lot of fashion lessons to offer. The next time you want to wear your printed tee length A-line skirt wear it with a military jacket and keep it unbutton showing your white tee. Finish the look with big sunglasses.

I don't know what to call this skirt, it's somewhere between midi and maxi and so mixi should be the appropriate name for this skirt. Go for this mixi number with your cropped sweater and black two strap stilettos for fall.

Interesting unique sleeves on your top & lace up boots definitely adds edginess to your look. However she cleverly dressed it up with floral mini to make it look feminine.

Chess board print...love or hate? Say yes to prints that are eye catching when it comes to choosing your evening dress. Make it look simple with matching bag and shoe.

Cut out or  see through full maxi skirt looks sexy with a bustier or a crop top. To finish off the look go for fringe sandal for spring.

White accessories are peaceful and perfectly goes with floral print. This summer wear your A line floral print with white pumps and bag. Finish the look with simple tee.

Plaids in different colour other than red and black? I say yes! Take this Scottish print to next level by opting for bright colours.

Fashion Tip: crop top + full skirt + animal print shoe + big clutch

Fashion Tip: fedora hat +  belt + asymmetric bohemian dress

A tuxedo pant looks great with floral blazer and white tee. Finish the look with large bags and statement shoe.

These are the best fashion tips to learn from Jessica Alba.

Tell me which which fashion lessons you would love to try!

Petal Full Skirt + Turtleneck Top + Vest + Edgy Accessories

With all the craziness going around in my house and with the sudden technical problem in my iPad it's becoming hard for me to focus on my blogging. However after getting done with my manicure and getting my iPad fixed I got back to my blogging world. My love for blogging hasn't diminished yet and would never be in the future.

So, today I feel a huge burden has been lifted from my shoulder: my IPad is working again. I lost all my pictures saved but I got all my important notes back. I m a bit relieved that I can get back in to my work and feel fabulous.

Check out my latest outfit I wore when I was running errands finishing all my important works including getting my iPad fixed.

A great printed full skirt with petals is the perfect item for summer. Read on how I wear it and let me know what you think.

Looks good With loafers, sure! Gone are the days when a full skirt is worn with stilettos or wedges. Make it edgy and casual with something like this zebra print loafers and feel comfortable all day long.

Go crazy with accessories! More unique the better! I went for this double layer strand necklace with a hanger and coins dangling in the end.

Give your bag a makeover! Instead of carrying  ur structured bag on your wrist, go for long satchel and give it the illusion of cross body bag.

I went for a simple white cuff with golden dots

Layer your turtle neck top with a vest or shrug next time and master the art of layering. This would give you protection from wind and make you look chic.

Let me know in the comments below what you think.xoxo

Look Of The Week: Meeting His Parents

Hello!!! Fashionholics!

It's weekend! Starting today every Saturday I am going to bring Look of the week.

What you are going to find here is an easy solution to what you would be wearing to a particular occasion, event, on weekend or just on a casual day.

So, today, "my look of the week" is.......drumroll.....drumroll......."Meeting His Parents"

So, many of us who are meeting our date's parents have encountered this situation of fretting over whether to go conservative or dress up according to what your boyfreind thinks is right. Well, some of us would go extreme and dress up like plain Jane to impress his parents. On the other hand there are rest of us who do not care about whatever people think and would bring out the inner diva by opting for something unexpected! So, what happens in the end either we end up being overdressed or underdressed.

Do not fret it's time to take the matter in our hands and bring about a permanent change in the way we all dress up when meeting his parents.

So, I take it as a challenge to come up with a style solution for all the Fashionholics out there.

So, the first question you ask.........
Should I go for conservative?
My answer: Yes, but with a touch of modernism
Second question you ask.......
Should I go for trend or basic?
My answer: Balancing both
Your Third and final question might be......
What should I wear when I don't know how his parents are or what they prefer?
My answer: timeless pieces with a touch of your very own style statement.

So, I am here to give fashion advice to those of you who are invited to meet your boyfriend's parents for the first time. Well, the situation is pretty pressurized for those of you who do not know the place where you would be meeting them.

So, my step by step fashion rules are:

1. A timeless peasant style blouse in solid colour is perfect
2. Too many bracelets and accessories are distracting, so a big no no.
3. A statement necklace is a yes! Make sure it's not clashing with your top....you want it to be visible.
4. Since midi pencil skirts are feminine and conservative,it's an appropriate choice.
5. Mixing prints are fun! Go for a printed skirt and printed bag like this polka dot one below.
6. When choosing your shoe go for basic colour like black, white or brown in comfortable material
7. If you are on the shorter side, prints that are vertical are mandatory for you ( check out the skirt below)
8. To be on the safe side contrasting colour always works than clashing one like this yellow skirt and Crimson top.
9. Remember that platform elongates your leg and are comfortable to walk around.
10. Add your own style statement....it can be orange lips, polka dot bag, moto jacket...etc.

However if you are not a skirt person, go for dress pants, cigarette pants or even culotte, the trick is to balance one trendy item with a timeless one. Always go for heels until you know that the place you are going to meet them is an outdoorsy one. Finally the biggest and the most cliche fashion tip is known by all of us....it's to be yourself and smile.

So, this was the very first look of the week....hoping to hear from you soon. Let me know what you like about this weeks "look of the week" and also what other "look of the week" you want me to blog about.

Xoxo.

Fashion Tips And Tricks: Green With Envy

Hey Fashionholics!

I bought this full sleeved window pane check top just after my birthday and thought of giving it a try with these green skirt which was my Mom's silk sari. Yes! The advantage of having a Bangladeshi family with your mom having tons of vintage sari is you can simply take it from them or they are luckily handed down to you. Then you can design whatever you heart wants to and take them to your tailor.

So, today my outfit of the day is green with envy!

And this outfit is constructed keeping in mind that Saint Patrick's Day is coming soon.

Read on to know more about this outfit.

1.  Search for vintages: Vintage items are classic, timeless and the most important advantage is that it is unique. So, I delved in to my moms wardrobe and found this beautiful silk sari which she used to wear during 80s, went to tailor and turned it in to a skirt. Broaden your horizon!

2. Tailor is your best freind: yes literally! A tailor who understands you instantly and can turn the most difficult task in to gorgeous masterpiece is the best tailor you can ever have. Look for good tailors who can make great stuff.

3. Contrasting shoe and skirt: This green spray print silk skirt looks good with my purple polka dot shoe. Try other contrasting print and colour like blue skirt and orange shoe, pink skirt with red shoe, yellow skirt with violet shoe, ikat print skirt and colour blocking heels, polka dot skirt and animal print shoe, animal print skirt and daisy print shoe.

4. Take a cross body clutch: try this new tip. Intead of going for cross body bag go for cross body clutch. In this case I went for black simple clutch with bow at the front.

5. Bigger metallic necklace draws attention to your face: you want your pretty face to be shown, right? So go for something gold or silver depending on which colour suits you. I think big chain necklaces are better if you want your face to glow.......I love my gold chain necklace though.

6. Wear your bracelet, bangle or cuff over your sleeves: your long sleeve top needs a makeover as well. Try this out.

7. Match your bracelet with your bottom half: A very tricky fashion tip to pull off. But do not over do it. Go for 1 big bracelet instead of multiples that matches your bottom.

8. Colour combo: do not fear anymore cause it is the year to break all the fashion rules. Try experimenting with different contrasting colours and even colours from the same family. So, my ootd has: White+red+green+purple.

9. Say yes to puffy midi: mid lengths are in vogue and so take advantage of them by wearing it in your style. Follow what suits you and at the same time try experimenting with new looks. Midi looks great with short sleeve to long sleeve, from poetic puffy sleeve to modern ones, from turtle neck to halter neck, from crew neck to boat neck. And look for puffy ones that makes you feel like a modern princess  and makes you the centre of attention.

10. Simple bag/clutch are not exactly simple: What I mean is you don't have to go for glitz and glam all the time. You can simply experiment something which you no longer wear anymore or which are sitting idly in your closet. Go for simple bag or clutch with your most fashion forward outfit.

11. Go crazy with prints: It doesn't matter much which prints you are choosing, it's all about your body proportions, better fit, right accessories and confidence. Firstly, check in the mirror whether you look bulky or too thin, shorter or longer. What I mean is go for prints that's gives better visual balance and emphasises your figure. Secondly, look for better fit and flattering yet trendy cut.  Thirdly balance the look with right accessories....wearing too little can make you underdressed and wearing too many is a big no no. So try couple of accessories in front of mirror before leaving your house. Finally confidence is the most necessary piece of "accessory" you need to have all the time.

12. Classic prints are always in: Whether it's stripe, gingham, plaids, checks, polka dots they always look new no matter how you wear it. They can be tried out with any trend, print and colour. They are classic and pretty. However instead of going for the usual polka dot blouse opt for polka dot accessories. So, I wore this purple polka dot bow shoe with my favourite vintage midi.

These are the fashion tips of today. Let me know whether you like these tips or not in the comments section below.
Be fashion forward....xoxo.

1 Look=3 Fashion Tips

Hello Fashionholics!
I hope you guys are doing great and experimenting with new fashion tips. Check out this new fashion tips and tricks you can wear all year around.

1. A) Colour coordinate your skirt with bag: I love how the colour burgundy looks amazing with her bag which is also in the same colour family.
1. B) Wear fitted midi skirt with bolero jackets: Instead of going for fuller midis which we are seeing everywhere; surprise yourself with form fitting skirt with nice bolero jacket in rich colour.
1.  C) Wear a statement bag and a bold frame: Try fringes or ruffles or even pleated bags with your basic outfits and don't forget to try different sunglasses like round frames or go for something vintage. This combination is worth trying.

2.  A) Throw a blazer over statement top: Throwing a blazer over top is the most easy way to make your look fresh and polished. This trend is effortless and a must try.
2.  B) Wear an eye-catching top over a simple button down shirt: Give your button down shirts life by wearing it under an eye catching, bold printed or even geometric print top.
2. C) Mix vintage and trendy accessories: Vintage shoes like mules, oxfords, clogs looks great with trendy bags like this envelope bag.

3.  A) Try motorcycle jacket with pastel separates: It's the most interesting way to try out your motorcycle jacket and it is definitely a must try. Try mixing pastels like pink and  lavender, peach and lucite green, lime and blush, mauve and peach. Wear a great motorcycle jacket and you are good to go.
3.  B) Wear unexpected socks and shoe combination: Burgundy socks looks great with silver shoe. Try wearing burgundy socks with brown mules or something like golden platform heels.
3.  C) Match jacket with your long satchel bag: Match the colour of your jacket with a long satchel bag, the effect could be slimming and stylish!

So, these are the best fashion tips I could come up with to upgrade my look. I am definitely going to try them all and might add some twist. Let me know in the comments what other tips you can think of and how do you wear it.
