Fashion Lessons From: Adele

"Hello" there! Today I would dedicate this post to all those women who stood up against body shaming and would make their voice heard to stop this crucial issue that is still present in our society. In the world of celebrity there are lots of people who spoke up  about body shaming issues. But there is one person who has never talked about it until very recently and opened up about how she has been dealing with it over the years. She is Adele! She has been struggling with body image all her life and she opens  up about it when she released her album "when We Were Young". She says she won't let the body image problem rule her life. She says,"There is only one of you, why would you want to look like everyone else?" And she is absolutely right! We should celebrate and be happy with how we look and therefore should stop stereotyping!
I must say Adele is different and she has unique and classic sense of style. Today is Adele's birthday and here are some of her best outfit pairing from which we should learn some fashion lesson and take some ideas...Happy Birthday Adele!

Pair your printed scarf with your printed jumpsuit! Make sure that your scarf and jumpsuit have prints that are of almost similar colours and patterns. Add a belt to define your waist.

Head to toe black is not boring when your outfit is structured, polished and has a sophisticated style. Make sure the fabric is rich and the silhouette is feminine and clean line. A duster coat with gold buttons look fantastic on Adele which she wore with fedora hat, shades and boots.

A statement jacket is all you need to brighter your day. Go for head to toe black and add a printed statement jacket!

Everyone must have a coat that is other than the colour, black. Go for red, yellow, blue or even pastel. Or take fashion cue from Adele and go for a fringe coat.

When you are in a hurry it's hard to accessorize and look great but with simple steps casual look can be fun too. Make your casual look cooler with three simple items: shades, sneakers and colour block bag.

Wear black and add red lipstick when you are unsure about what to wear to a formal event.

Forget the fashion rules and try something daring. Go for printed dress and printed shoe. Make your outfit look monochromatically printed by opting for print shoes in similar colour of the dress.

Parsons Teen Vogue: My Audience

This is a blog post done for Parsons Teen Vogue to complete the certificate program called "Fashion Industry Essentials". As fun as this program is for learning about fashion industry essentials, this program also gives various challenges and helps to teach about social media management. I am given the task to set up an account at Hootesuite where I can link 3 of my social media links for free. Hootesuite keeps track of my audience, shares, likes etc. It also helps me to manage my posts and even helps me to schedule them on particular date and time. Moreover through Hootesuite all the things happening in 3 of my social media channel is tracked and therefore it is easy for me to know the latest happenings in my social media channels.

So, in Hootesuite I have included my Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. It is found that highest number of social media visitors are from USA followed by Canada and Germany. Moreover most of them are female. Moreover I have visitors coming from France, Bangladesh, Singapore. The peek time for social media visitors are Pacific Time, 7 pm.

This site Hootesuite has helped to not only to keep track of who is visiting from where or at what time but also it helped me to schedule post and see the latest post (popular posts) of those I follow, especially in Instagram. No More Print Shaming!

Wearing prints from the same colour family are so last season and since its 2016 I believe, fashion has emerged in a new and more refined way. In this era people would do anything to put a stop at the stereotypes and go out of their way to stop all the 'shamings' that they have previously encountered by  doing blog posts, posting videos, pictures etc. So here I am to stop print shaming.

So, what is basically print shaming and why people are oppose to the idea of trying completely different prints in different colours? It's basically because we would end up looking fat and bigger than our true size. However isn't the idea of fashion to play with different patterns, prints, fabrics, styles, design and accessories? So, I don't know why people are oppose to the idea of trying different prints in different colours and patterns! If you are worried about prints making you look bigger than what you are try different accessories to divert the attention from the large print and making your whole look proportioned and balance.

Check out my pictures below to let me know about what you think about my mixing of two different prints in completely different colours. I opted for dotted pajamas and check print top.

If you are heavy in the top just like me, divert the attention away from your prints by opting for big top handle structured bag in light colour. I opted for beige top handle structured bag from Aldo.

As I have mentioned accessories are key element in your outfit that could do wonders and even make you look lean, try unexpected colours when it comes to accessories. Go for lighter accessories if your prints look darker. Wear light colour accessories on or near the narrowest part of your body! For example since my hips are narrowest part of my body I went for powder blue shell cuff bracelet to divert the attention away from my print and make my body look proportional.

Blending your accessories with your print is also the trick to be fashion forward and lean..... Go for accessories with colours that are similar to your prints. Not necessarily you have to go for same colour accessories as your printed separates but wear something that blends naturally. It's a trick to make the prints look surprisingly good. I opted for light green statement necklace which blends with my printed top
In my outfit there are not three or four but six colours (black, brown, beige, powder blue, Crimson, light green) and they surprisingly blends making me look leaner and proportional. The trick is not in the prints, cuts, shapes and silhouette but on the accessories that are adorned which executed well.
Let me what you think about my outfit!

Petal Full Skirt + Turtleneck Top + Vest + Edgy Accessories

With all the craziness going around in my house and with the sudden technical problem in my iPad it's becoming hard for me to focus on my blogging. However after getting done with my manicure and getting my iPad fixed I got back to my blogging world. My love for blogging hasn't diminished yet and would never be in the future.

So, today I feel a huge burden has been lifted from my shoulder: my IPad is working again. I lost all my pictures saved but I got all my important notes back. I m a bit relieved that I can get back in to my work and feel fabulous.

Check out my latest outfit I wore when I was running errands finishing all my important works including getting my iPad fixed.

A great printed full skirt with petals is the perfect item for summer. Read on how I wear it and let me know what you think.

Looks good With loafers, sure! Gone are the days when a full skirt is worn with stilettos or wedges. Make it edgy and casual with something like this zebra print loafers and feel comfortable all day long.

Go crazy with accessories! More unique the better! I went for this double layer strand necklace with a hanger and coins dangling in the end.

Give your bag a makeover! Instead of carrying  ur structured bag on your wrist, go for long satchel and give it the illusion of cross body bag.

I went for a simple white cuff with golden dots

Layer your turtle neck top with a vest or shrug next time and master the art of layering. This would give you protection from wind and make you look chic.

Let me know in the comments below what you think.xoxo

Long Time No See

I know it's been a very long time I don't blog or write about my latest obsession about fashion, dear fashionholics. I have been busy for a long time from cleaning the whole house, to hosting a party, to travelling to Unites States to visiting new places and meeting my two little cousins. I am gonna start writing about them soon. Here are some pictures taken somewhere in the second week of July and just before visiting USA.

Here is how my summer holiday began with a nice Friday Night party in Toronto downtown. This is what I bought from Forever 21: 3D Flower white mini skirt. What I love about this skirt is whether I  dress it up or down  it never fails to look feminine and pretty. This skirt suits me perfectly and looks perfect for a party.

I opted for one dark and one light midium sized cuff and I don't regret my decision. Make a style statement by opting for light and dark unique cuffs.

Match your bag with your skirt instead of matching your bag with your shoe! You hear that right! It makes my outfit look brighter and fresh. Opt for light colours if you have a smaller hip like me and make sure the bag doesn't fall just above your bust...either choose a cross body bag or a bag that drops somewhere near your waistline to give a slender effect.

I matched my tights and with my shoe to give an illusion of longer and leaner body.

V neck makes my neck look longer and as its a party I opted for something gorgeously sexy like this studded navy blue top.

Drop earrings are must have accessory for summer party night. However make sure your earring is lighter and doesn't get tangled to your hair. I opted for Aldo earrings.

Another thing I liked about this bag is the gorgeous satchel which is definitely a statement making item.
